Export Exhibition Grants
For businesses that export, exhibitions are an essential useful tool to test markets, attract and connect with customers, make sales, and to find viable export agents and distributors. The Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) from UK Trade & Investment offers grants and support for eligible small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) to attend trade shows overseas.
Exhibition grants as part of a ATO-led group
The programme is often used when an Accredited Trade Organisation (ATO) has decided to provide TAP support to a group of UK businesses. The experience and knowledge offered by ATOs generally serve as a great advantage for inexperienced businesses to maximise their potential. Working with Accredited Trade Organisations, UKTI will help to raise the profile of the UK group and the UK sector at specific 'key' exhibitions.
Independent and 'solo' exhibition grants
The Tradeshow Access Programme can also accommodate businesses wishing to exhibit on an independent or "solo" basis, with no ATO led group.
Grant rates vary from £1,000, £1,400, or £1,800 for ATO led groups. Northwest Businesses who opt for ‘solo route' of exhibiting receive a flat rate grant of £1000.
