Gatway to Global Growth (G3) Programme
The programme offers businesses a strategic review, planning and support scheme to help grow the overall export base overseas. Strategies that are developed on this programme could be complex requiring both UK Trade & Investment services as well as those offered by other public or private sector organisations. Solutions could involve the acquisition of specialist information and skills or guidance on how to achieve a specific objective. It may even involve sharing a company's experiences and problems with other experienced exporters.
The programme provides a variety of services, including:
- In-depth review - part self diagnosis, part International Trade Adviser driven to give a clear picture of current export profile, and company needs and aims.
- Strategic development - after understanding where you are and where you want to be, the next step is to identify what needs to be done to help you get there (for example we could help you with building a Middle East strategy for your business).
- Quality training - access to in-house and third party relevant training (managing agents & distributors and developing international marketing & branding are just two examples).
- Funding - of up to £1,500 (on a match funded basis) to support development of your international strategy.
- Funding signpost - Gateway to Global Growth companies will be signposted to both the regional and national grants available, which can then be used to enhance export skills and access new overseas markets.
- International Business Network - benefit from sharing your experiences and expertise with other like-minded companies interested in growing their business internationally.
- Specialist advice - with advisers in over 160 locations worldwide and local specialist sector focused advisers, UKTI has the market and sector knowledge and understanding of your marketplace.
- Global models - as global supply and value chains become key in many sectors, UKTI will advise on how best your business fits into the model.
Eligibility
The Gateway to Global Growth service builds upon the experience and knowledge gained through the Passport Programme. The package is offered to Northwest businesses who have been exporting for between 2 - 10 years with the capability to undertake advanced development training, improve their infrastructure, resources and skills to strategically develop new markets and/or global value chains.
Next Steps
G3 is completely tailored to your needs and will be completed within 12 months. There is no cost attached to this service. Eligible businesses will be allocated an International Trade Adviser who will take them through the International Business Review and advise eligibility. Once confirmed on the programme, the ITA will develop an action plan with the company.
